The purpose of Country Lane Primary's library/media center is to provide a program that assists students in developing an awareness of the knowledge that is available and the skills needed to acquire and process this information. This program will also promote an appreciation of literature and the life-long enjoyment of reading.

Hours

8:50 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday - Friday

Checkout Policy

Students may check out books for one week. They may renew their book for an additional week if they need more time to finish reading the book. The number of books they may check out varies by grade level:

Kindergarten - may check out one book

1st - 2nd Grades - may check out two books

If students need additional books for research and/or reading pleasure, arrangements may be made with Ms. Newton.

Overdue Policy

Books are due back in one week. There are no fines for overdue books but books that are permanently lost or damaged must be paid for as soon as possible. If a lost book is paid for and then found before the end of the school year the students may either keep the book or return it for a full refund.
