The Broken Arrow Virtual Academy counseling department is aligned with the National Standards for School Counseling and takes a preventative approach to assisting the students with academic, career and personal/social development. Some of the counseling duties include counseling individual students as needed, counseling small groups of students (friendship groups, making connections), coordinating referrals to community agencies for needed family resources and meeting with parents to discuss concerns.
